The Place to get information on past and present members of the Hortman Family

The Hortman Family has a rich and mysterious history.  This web site is for you.  A newsletter will be posted at certain times.  This branch of the Hortman Family began in Georgia, when Mahala Parker Hortman left there for Texas with her 8 sons, a widow. 

We want to focus not only on the past, but on the now.  You will be able to post pictures, make important family announcements and help us prepare a more accurate history of the family.

Eventually there will be a Blog.  Watch for that.

Mahala lived to be 90 years old.  She is buried in the Elkhart, Texas Garden of Memories.
